Of The New Music
I guess it ain't nothing to cut that bitch off? And I'm just being honest, I'm a stoner. Listen, I don't really understand this new music, but I can tolerate it. I don't listen to it like I would listen to Jay or Nas or Big or LL or any other GOOD music, and I don't listen to them like I would Whitney Stevie and Miles (Davis). I guess I'm just curious, what the hell is this new music that floods the radio? And when did the radio just give the hell up censoring the curse words. How the fuck did my hitta actually get on the air. Are white people suppose to pretend like they don't know what hitta is replacing, and are we suppose to believe that they don't just say nigga instead when they're alone? And what type of responsible adults allow their little girls to listen to "let me push your panties to the side". When I was a kid stuff was a lot more ambiguous. Clearly there's a hidden force at work keeping this bullshit on repeat. Sad when youth say Lupe is just a crazy activist, or say Lupe Who? I'll admit sometimes you can catch me banging Thug Motivation 103 but I do it purely out of irony. This music is simple meant to keep the youth from thinking. If for one second they thought about what they were listen to they'd see the ABC lyrics as the distraction they are meant to be. I'm just being honest.

I understand completely on what you are saying, but we have to understand that music is forever evolving. Being that I'm included in this generation of music, I won't lie I enjoy it. Just to add to that, that doesn't mean I like all of what they are saying, but I may understand somethings on there topics. I feel as if it is our fault for letting these artist keep going because we buy thier music, we listen to their music, we even go see them in concerts. Now I'm not a parent but I'm pretty sure that parents should have a say in what their children are listening to. All I'm saying is that we, the consumers and listeners have a say so because we are the ones keeping these artist afloat. Did someone say boycott or petition? Coming from a young one that just wanted to put his 2 cents out there.
